Fantastic first night of our Nocona Nights Music Festival. Legendary performer Ray Wylie Hubbard (pictured below with De and JaLonn) and up and coming remarkable singer Tanner Fenoglio (Finalist in The Ranch band competition )Tonight’s performers are Deryl Dodd and Davin James

There is a change in tonight’s performance. Ray Wylie will play first around 6;45 p.m. Tanner will play after Ray. About 8:30 or so. Doors open at 6:00 p.m. There are about 10 tickets left. Email noconanights@gmail.com if you want to attend.

In 2002 the first “ Nocona Night” performance occurred at the old boot factory warehouse. Guests entered through the loading ramp and were treated to whatever food could be presented and served on a paper plate.

We are now entering our fifteenth year, and the venue, food, and performances have been improved to the point where Nocona Nights is a premier and favorite scene for Patrons and performers from throughout Texas and New Mexico. For the last several years, including the latest, Patron tickets have sold out for the season the first month they are offered. 

In recognition of this demand, Nocona Nights has added four performances open to the general public and held at The Veranda Inn Event Center:

The Nocona Nights Music Festival, two nights, starring Tanner Fenoglio and Ray Wyle Hubbard on October 13th, and Davin James and Deryl Dodd on October 14th

The Cowboy Christmas Ball featuring Jamie Richards and full band, December 16th

The Valentine Dance, starring Walt Wilkins and full band on February 1, 2018

Tickets for these special events can be obtained by contacting Nocona Nights at noconanights@gmail.com or through the website. Tickets are $50 pp except Oct 13th performance is $40 pp.

Due to a health issue, Larry Joe Taylor will not be able to perform on Saturday night, October 14, 2017 at the Festival. We were fortunate to get Deryl Dodd booked in his place. Deryl is a long-time favorite of Nocona Nights and will put on an outstanding performance.

Tickets will be available beginning the middle of July, 2017. Current Patrons will get the first opportunity to purchase them. We’ll present them by email to Patrons.  In past years Patrons have subscribed to all the tickets available.  Tickets are usually available for purchase for the  Music Festival, Cowboy Christmas Ball, and Valentine Dance.  Contact the Nocona Chamber to be on the waiting list for any of these.

Everyone get ready!   Tejas Brothers this coming Saturday at Veranda Inn.  Doors at 6; dinner 6:30; concert at 7ish.  Sorry, concert is sold out.

Tex-Mex meets Honky Tonk, the accordion is joined by the steel guitar, and everyone wins!

“Mama loves George Jones and daddy loves Freddy Fender”, says Dave Perez, accordionist for the band.  With influences from all different styles of music, the audience might find it difficult to describe a live show.  Most of them say, “I don’t know what to call it; I just know it’s GOOD!”  The band calls it “Tex-Mex Honky Tonk”.

A typical Tejas Brothers medley might start out as a jumpin’ tejano polka, hop into a steam-engine country train song, and then drop you off in a twisting blues rocker!

If you are one of those people who has all but given up on the music of today, don’t worry… there are still some bands putting out the good stuff!  If you come to a show, just make sure you can see the stage! -Holiday Bailey (San Angelo Live)
