Larry Joe Taylor and Davin James are being presented by Nocona Nights at Nocona Beer and Brewery on Saturday, September 15th. The concert is open to Nocona Nights’ Patrons at no charge, with seating at 6:30. Doors open for ticket holders ($10 per ticket) at 7 PM.
Come early and enjoy food and your favorite beverage at Nocona Brewery, and take it into the show. No BYOB.

This is a bonus concert for Nocona Nights’ Patrons.

Nocona Nights has five positions remaining in the ad campaign to sponsor Red Dirt Radio program to be broadcast from Daddy Sam’s in Nocona on Sunday, September 16th

Your company will be advertised on 95.9 The Ranch during the week before, and your banner displayed at the event. Table top ads will announce your company sponsorship.

Only 10 ad positions are being sold. Cost is $300 and proceeds go to Nocona Nights to fund this exciting program featuring Larry Joe Taylor and Davin James.

Here’s a short bio:

“Since its beginnings in the late 1990s, the Hot Club of Cowtown’s star has continued to rise as its reputation for jaw-dropping virtuosity and unforgettable live shows has become the band’s global brand. Lauded for its “down-home melodies and exuberant improvisation” (The Times, London), the Hot Club has always woven a combination of seemingly disparate styles together to its own magical effect, setting up camp “at that crossroads where country meets jazz and chases the blues away” (The Independent), remaining “conscious always that above all else, the music is for dancing and an old-fashioned good time” (New York Times). The band’s musical alchemy has been described as “another breathless journey in the Texas tardis” (The Times, London), while American Songwriter observed that “the excellent three players of this band could be doing anything but have chosen to honor the greats of jazz and swing with their sound.” The Belfast Telegraph calls the Hot Club of Cowtown “a pretty much perfect country trio at the very top of their game,” and the New York Times, in a live review the trio as armed with “an arsenal full of technique and joy.”

Thom and Coley and their dog Odie the Roadie travel the world telling their stories, and singing their songs that make people laugh and cry.

They were both writing for Nashville publishing companies in the same building when they met. Their first date was a Deryl Dodd show at the Blue Bar in Nashville on April Fool’s Day, 2011. They relocated to Texas later that year and were married by Elvis in Las Vegas on October 23rd, 2015.

Coley McCabe is a platinum-selling songwriter who hails from West Virginia.  She has performed numerous times on the Grand Ole Opry.  While on RCA Records her song “Grow Young With You” was featured in the Natalie Portman / Ashley Judd film, “Where The Heart Is,” Her writing credits include the award winning group SheDaisy and legendary Loretta Lynn. She also starred in the feature film “Alabama Love Story.”

Thom Shepherd is originally from St. Louis, MO, is the writer of two number one country songs, “Riding with Private Malone” and “Redneck Yacht Club,” three Texas Music number ones, “Beer Season,” “My Texas,” and “The Night Is Young,”  has had over 100 songs recorded by other artists, two songs on Grammy nominated albums, and multiple top ten hits nationwide and in Texas. He appears in “The Parrot Heads Documentary” with Jimmy Buffett. He is nominated in 5 categories at this year’s TRMA Awards including Album of The Year, Song of the Year, Male Vocalist, Entertainer of the Year, and Event of the Year. “

This coming Saturday, February 3rd is our annual Valentine Dance and a wonderful dinner.  The event will be held at the Veranda Inn Event Center.  Doors open at  6:00 ; dinner 6:30 ish; concert and dance about 7.

We’re very pleased to once again present Walt Wilkins, Tina, and the band. Doors open at 6. Dinner at 6:30. Concert and dance at 7.
